A very special Message from US to YOU 💗

Oh my gosh... WHAT A WEEK of celebrations we are having around here.

For starters, today is our 3rd Birthday. THREE whole years of a brand new life I never in a zillion years could have envisioned, and to top it all off - my hubby Carl has officially joined our little business full time.

It is a huge step for a little family business to make, and it is a big scary goal we have had for a long time and now that it is actually happening... it is equal parts terrifying and exciting and I am giddy with joy and gratitude today.

If I close my eyes, I can still see the broken me after my accident ten years ago. I can see myself sitting in my wheelchair in the Dr's office, bawling as I was told "Sonia, you need to accept that the chances of you ever walking are very unlikely". I can see myself in that moment, truly believing that my world was over. Not only was my corporate career of twenty something years crumbling before me, this was not how my life as a wife and a mother of 3 little boys was pictured it in my dreams.

Oh how wrong they were... and how I wish I could go back and hug myself and say "It's ok, it's going to be ok" before I completely fell apart.

But then again do I?

Would you believe me if I told you that in hindsight... THAT moment was THE best moment that ever happened to me?

We humans are capable of the most incredible things when faced with adversity but are surrounded by love and belief. Sometimes things need to break, WE need to break and then once we have allowed ourselves to be broken... it brings a chance to rebuild in a way better than we could ever imagine.

And rebuild we did.

As a family today, we are better for what happened. We are tighter, we are stronger and we refuse to believe that we are EVER incapable of anything.

Not only am I walking, I am the mother and wife I dreamt I could be (all be it sometimes a bit more of a shoutier one than the one I pictured). My career might have ended, but it was replaced by something a squillion times better - Little Lane Workshops.

I am not exaggerating when I say I pinch myself daily for my good fortune. That accident was the best thing that EVER could have happened to me and this business of ours we have built- and I mean OURS as in yours, mine and my family's - is the best gift I could ever hope for.

So on our third birthday,  I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU so much for all the love and support you have shown us. THANK YOU to you our friends/guests (we think of all of you as our friends) for coming to our workshops, for learning and laughing with us and for sharing us with your friends and families.

Thank you to you our beautiful teachers who so graciously share your knowledge and skills and patience with us all. We are nothing but just a pretty little studio without all that you bring.

These have been the best three years of my life and I am so excited about where we go to from here.

Here's to all the adventures that lay ahead for us all.
